The Refuge: Middle

The Refuge Middle is designed specifically for 6th-8th graders to take advantage of their growing curiosity and socialization. We create lots of opportunities for students to build healthy relationships with each other. We also encourage them to ask deeper question about God and what he wants for their lives.

We also have fun and welcoming experiences that will help them feel excited about being a part of the Church!

The Youth Refuge

The Youth Refuge is made up of great teens and adult staff who strive to know Christ and love and lead students to become more like him inside and out,

Our group of 6th through 12th graders share one thing in common: they’re interested in finding God. That’s it. To be a part of the Refuge ministry you don’t have to be a Biblical scholar, a tremendous athlete, or the most popular kid at school. You don’t even need to be a Christian. You just need to be curious about God.

We offer many opportunities for teens to build strong relationships, ask hard questions, examine their beliefs, and make a difference in the world.

At Western Hills, youth have the chance to connect throughout the week.

Sunday mornings 9:30am

Wednesday 5:30-7:30pm Every Week.

We also have monthly fellowship opportunities and camps in the Summer.

WHY Life group

If you're in High School or Middle School, come with other members of our church meeting at the church gym for Wednesday evening meal at 5:30pm served downstairs. During the meal time, all students of WHY are invited to bring their food upstairs to hangout and to connect with others and play games and fellowship in room B23. Then migrate over at 6:30pm to then next room over called the W.H.Y. room B24 for Bible Learning And Sharing Together! Middle Schoolers and High School students learn how to have a deeper relationship with God. We have a time of worship, teaching and discussion. We learn to put our faith in action.
